The Besty Ross House

Born Elizabeth Griscom of Quaker parents on January 1, 1752, Betsy Ross attended Friends Schools until her apprenticeship as an upholsterer - an unusual occurrence for a young lady in those days. She became widely recognized as a seamstress and operated an upholstery shop at 239 Arch Street in Philadelphia, the famed "Betsy Ross House". Small pattern, easy to stitch.
