Nostalgia

This cross-stitch design of a swan on a pond with cattails and lily pads, gives the appearance of lace on a background color of stitchers choice. The surrounding border is curved at the corners which are embellished with roses and gives the impression of lace decoration and edging. The stitching is done in white - whole and half stitches. The model is stitched on linen to keep with the ‘old’ tradition, but aida or evenweave may be used.
