End of the Project
I have posted a letter to all of you regarding the Appreciation Patch project. You can find it by clicking on the Patch. It has been very successful and we wish to thank each and every one of you.
If you have any questions, please email me. Thank you, Leslie lmiller@pcstitch.com

Re: End of the Project
Leslie, I sent 16 patches, and hopefully though you will have gotten them a few days after the end of Sept. you can include them in your final package. The backing I'd purchased didn't work, had to find something else quickly.
I originally heard about the project in March from a friend who is a minister. It was fun and rewarding for my boys and I to work on the patches! I hope you will consider finding another "project" soon. Perhaps if it is something where we stitchers can do our own mailing, your organization could be spared the trouble and expense. This project was great because each little patch was a quickie project. Maybe your subscribers can identify some need out there that can be quickly, easily x-stitched into something of use for some worthy cause. Bookmarks for a Literacy program? Ladies at my church used to make bibs for christenings; is there any very simple and inexpensive way stitchers could do something for needy infants? Is there something we could do for a children's program?
I really enjoy the hobby, but I enjoy it more when I can share it with others. And sharing it with others in an anonymous way, like the patches, was truly an experience that made my heart feel good. It also brought me back to your website a number of times, as I'm sure it did other stitchers, which gave us an opportunity to see your selections and make purchases. It certainly does not detract from the social value of a project if it also makes business sense for pcstitch!
Keep us "posted on any ideas!"
