Re: What are you stitching.

I'm new to the site and I am presently stitching "Stately Palm" by Dimensions; designed by Karen Avery. It is a beautiful picture of a palm tree sitting in a decorative pot. I'm doing this one for my brother who lives in Florida. I started working on it two years ago and have made little progress due to a hectic schedule. This year I am planning on finishing it. I have been stitching for 30 years and love every minute of it. This project has proven to be quite challanging for frequent color changes and many stitches involving the combination of two color threads. I'll be anxious to finish it for I have many other projects I would love to work on. Barb

Re: What are you stitching.

Hi,my name is Patty and I am currently working on The Last Supper by Leisure Arts. I was having dinner with a friend one night and saw it hanging on the wall in her dining room and just fell in love with it. I have to admit I'm still fairly new to cross stitching so this is a huge project for me. I've been working on it off and on now for the past year and I can't wait to get it done.

Re: What are you stitching.

Hello I'm stitching a scene from a label off a wine bottle from my brother's brand, he grows and makes wine. It's been made into a pattern by a lady who does photos for xstitch. I'm making it for his 60th birthday in February. Just finished a baby birth sampler for my nieces 1st child.
I'm finding the label a real challenge probably the most challenging project to date!! Been xstitching for around 8 years now, and love it. I'm from New Zealand and we are looking forward to our spring next month,be great to have some warmer weather. Cheers valerie

Re: What are you stitching.

Hi, I'm Sherry from Ohio, Actually I'm working on about three different pictures. One is called Feathered Friends, another is a cardinal on a branch, the other one is called Doggie Dreams.

The only thing I usually stitch is birds, birdhouses, and anything to do with dogs. I tend to jump from one picture to another. ( Maybe that's why I never get anything done!!! )

Re: What are you stitching.

I am currently stitching "Beacon of Hope" by Thomas Kinkade.

It's taking me quite a while to do unfortunately. I just recently had to "upgrade" to bi-focals and have had quite an adjustment period!!! I had to begin stitching with no glasses on at all so I called the eye doctor. I figured it must be time for a check-up. I was actually prepared for him to tell me I needed bi-focals. I knew I did. I'm still adjusting but it's getting better each day. At least I can leave my glasses on to stitch again!!!

Re: What are you stitching.

I have been working on a "Baby's Sleeping" wall-hanging for my new grandson! My DD had some problems the last few weeks so I was really not "relaxed" enough to do much on it. I came down to my DD's & SIL's house last Friday to stay with them until the 10th! Josiah Paul made his "debut" at 4:49 a.m. on the 3rd, so I have been in "Mamaw Heaven" ever since. I head home (75 miles away) on Sunday. I just started back on it this afternoon while he was napping! :)

Re: What are you stitching.

I started stitching a Christmas Ornament kit that is done on perforated plastic. It makes up about six ornaments so it should take too long. I think it's made by Janlynn. I live in a very small town in GA and we don't have any stitching stores nearby, so if I want something in particular, I have to mail order. I have a lot of stash, but somehow, I always manage to see something that really looks great!

Re: What are you stitching.

Hi everyone!! I'm not new to the site, just new to the message board. Right now I'm working on "Three Yoruban Women" from Dimensions. I just finished "The Brother's Poem", "My Son" and my other "Son" samplers, "Daughter-in-Law", "Sister" and "Granddaughter" samplers. I've been stitching so much, my hands and eyes hurt.
I am African-American and am having a hard time finding "black" oriented projects. Any help is greatly appreciated. Grampamdoppie
