Fraying edges

I'm stitching some bookmarks but the edges are fraying. How do I keep them from coming undone? Has anyone ever laminated a cross stitched bookmark?

Re: Fraying edges

You can also use Fray-Chek to prevent fraying. I use it on all my work. Neater than masking tape, or any other method I've ever tried.

Re: Fraying edges

Have never laminated anything I have done, but on another forum saw that someone had laminated some stitching to make it into a mouse mat, so it does work.

Another suggestion if you don't want to laminate the book here is a link that shows you how to finish off a bookmork -

Hope this helps.

Happy stitching.
