Hi Bonnie, I'm new to this site too, my name is Valerie, I'm from New Zealand, been xstitching for about 8 years now. I also love crochet, reading,walking our 3 dogs and work part time in a busy cafe in town. Kids are grown and left home, just me and husband home now. I'm stitching a project for my brothers 60th birthday, its a copy of his label for the wine he makes from one of his wine bottles I got it copied and made into a xstitch pattern, a real challenge, with 100 colours!!!
What are you stitching at the moment?

well as many times as I have been to this site this is the first time i noticed the board. well this could be fun I have two grown daughters 22 and 29 and 4 grown stepchildren 27-34 years old oh yes on husband who has MS but cannot convince him he needs to do some of my cross stitch patterns so i look like i stitched fast enough LOL

I found the site by accident a few years ago and love it. I've been stitching since 1988! Have sold lots of things and gifted more.Also love animals and outdoors.Feel free to e-mail if want to at countrymom_2000@hotmail.com. Have a husband of 23 yrs and wonderful daughter in college. Work as a part time nurse.Have free time.

Welcome to the site. I live most of the year in Saudi Arabia, but when in the UK home is the north east of Scotland. Have been stitching for too many year to count now, although have had a couple of breaks. Married with 3 kids, 23, 21,20.
Just finished a sampler style picture for my middle daughter who is graduation this summer as a nurse and now working on number 2 of 3 dragonfly pictures.

Hi Lorna im new to this site as well, my names Nita and i live in the uk too.Im married with 3 grown up kids and 1 8 yr old, ALL GIRLS...
I havent done much crossstitch since before my kids were born so just getting back into it..
I hope to hear from any one about anything..

Hey Terry I am in Florida too...Panama City Beach area
Bonnie you said you like the US patterns I drool over the UK ones LOL
I cross stitch with a binky group and about twice a year I do squares and make different angel designs on aida cloth and plastic canvas for another group called Angels Online
I used to do ceramics for like 25 years but with the spinal desenegration and fibro and arthritis it is easier now to pick up a piece of cloth and needle rather than a mold and ceramic piece
I still have some to finish but my love of cross stitch got in the way of the all the bottles of paint and ceramic pieces

thanks to everyone thats replied to my note
working on a 16-count cross-stitch called collecting shells, just finished the matching one to this called collecting daisys both by janlynn
love the u.s.a patterns sometimes very hard to get in the u.k. have not done any christmas stitching this year, had a very unsettled year.but things are getting better bye for now
